She was born in 1950 in Athens. At first she took lessons with P. Sarafianos, N. Nikolaou and Y. Moralis. She studied printmaking under K. Grammatopoulos at the Athens School of Fine Arts (1969-1974) and continued her studies in lithography under Georges Dayez at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris (1974-1976). Her first solo printmaking exhibition was presented in 1976 (Athens College Hall).
Her perfected printmaking techniques (lithography, woodcut, etching) in plain, clean-cut compositions and themes inspired by everyday views of the urban space was the main characteristic of her early works. Soon, she started to present painting works alongside her printmaking ones, usually light materials on papers. Her mature work is developed in thematic cycles based on personal experiences or travels, such as the ones alluding to tango, Patmos or Crete. She has also created videos, constructions, and has designed jewellery and theatre sets.
She engaged in teaching thoroughly and attended many printmaking seminars. She taught free drawing and colour at the Vakalo Art and Design College (1983-1997), the painting studio of Agia Paraskevi and the Association of Art and Philosophy, of which both she was a founding member. She has often been awarded for her oeuvre: Printmaking Award of the Athens Academy (1980), 1st Printmaking Prize of the Onassis Cultural Center (1985), 1st Printmaking Prize of the Tranoulis Foundation (1986), while in 1987 she was awarded at the International Printmaking Biennale Intergrafik in Berlin.
She presented her work in more than 30 solo exhibitions in Greece and abroad. She has participated in many important group exhibitions and international art events in Greece and abroad among which are the Printmaking Biennales of Ljubljana (1983), Berlin (1984), Varna and Baden-Baden (1985), as well as the 8th Triennial of New Delhi (1994). Her works are included in both public and private collections in Greece and abroad.
