Marinos Christoforos (1975)

He was born in 1975 in Athens but spent his childhood and adolescence in Pyrgos (Kymi, Evoia). He studied History of Art in London at the Camberwell College of Arts, The London Institute (1997-2000) and continued his studies in art of the 20th century at Goldsmiths College, University of London (2000-2001). He is currently a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Architecture Engineering, University of Thessaly (Volos).
Since 2001, he has been regularly writing articles for the greek press and for international specialized journals. He is also the founder and co-editor of the online art magazine kaput.gr, since 2008. Moreover, he has contributed to various books and exhibition catalogues and has edited many art publications.
He has been particularly active and versatile in the field of exhibition curation and organization, and has many thematic exhibitions and presentations of young artists in his portfolio. He has also co-curated major art fairs and festivals such as the 2nd Athens Biennale (2009).
He is the president of AICA Hellas since February 2012.
